NEW MATERIALS. NEW POSSIBILITIES.

Pneumatic Solutions with Tomorrow’s Requirements in Mind

The requirements for industrial materials are changing. RoHS, REACH, sustainability, and material transparency are becoming increasingly important.

SFS actively addresses these developments and takes new materials into account when developing and implementing pneumatic solutions.

As a manufacturer of customized pneumatic solutions, it is particularly important to us to identify new trends and customer requirements at an early stage and incorporate them into our solutions. Together with our customers, we analyze the individual product requirements and develop the right solution based on them.

SFS customized pneumatic solutions optimize product costs while simultaneously minimizing space requirements. In addition, we adapt the technical properties to the specific requirements.

Our range starts with the refinement of existing standard products and extends to the complex development of customized solutions. We develop and manufacture cylinders, valves, and pressure regulators, as well as complex valve blocks integrating a wide range of functions.

We cover the entire process, from development and machining to assembly, customer-specific labeling, and packaging. You receive a 100% tested product tailored to your requirements.

This flexibility is also reflected in the selection and combination of suitable materials.

BRASS – LEAD-FREE & LOW-LEAD

Brass remains an important material in pneumatics. At the same time, demand for lead-free and lead-reduced alloys is increasing.

At SFS, we primarily use the following brass grades with a lead content of <0.1%:

  • CW724R
  • CW510L / Pb01

We take RoHS compliance requirements into account and use suitable lead-free or low-lead material grades.

✓ Lead content below 0.1% in accordance with RoHS

✓ RoHS requirements taken into account

✓ REACH-compliant material selection

✓ Proven technical properties

In this way, we combine the requirements of modern material standards with reliable pneumatic technology.

ALUMINUM – LIGHTWEIGHT & VERSATILE

Aluminum offers interesting possibilities for modern pneumatic designs.

Low weight, good machinability, and versatile applications make aluminum an important material for lightweight construction and efficient solutions.

At SFS, we primarily use the following aluminum alloys:

  • EN AW 6026LF
  • EN AW 6082
  • EN AW 5083
  • EN AW 2033

Aluminum is also subject to RoHS requirements. The lead content must be below 0.1%, unless a corresponding RoHS exemption applies.

In addition to the materials mentioned above, we are always open to new challenges and additional materials – depending on customer requirements and the specific application.

WHAT IS DRIVING THE MATERIALS MARKET?

In addition to brass and aluminum, we are particularly monitoring:

  • Lead-free and low-lead materials
  • Lightweight construction and material savings
  • Recyclability and sustainability
  • Transparent material and compliance documentation
  • New material grades and stable supply chains

SFS – PNEUMATICS WITH AN EYE ON THE FUTURE

New materials open up new possibilities.

SFS combines technical expertise with a future-oriented approach to material selection, while taking current requirements regarding RoHS, REACH, and material compliance into account.

Technology. Materials. Future.
