Special solutions: cylinders

Special feature:
Two cylinders are integrated in one housing. The design of the housing is adapted specifically to the customer's mounting conditions. The cylinders can be activated individually.

Applications:
Adapter testing technology, for clamping of test samples

Special feature:
Because speed is paramount in applications with this cylinder, a conventional triggering of the cylinder (valve in the switching cabinet) is not an option. The valves were attached directly to the body of the cylinder and the air fed internally to keep the length of the lines as short as possible and thus minimize the response time of the cylinder.
The cylinder is delivered complete with valves and solenoid switches.

Riveting machines in the automotive industry

Special feature:
The piston activates the lever that locks or releases a component via the off-center piston rod. The size of the unit is determined by the installation space (diameter 16). Over the entire length of the cylinder body, no part can protrude beyond the 16 mm diameter, as the locking unit is inserted into a bore. The customer requires different versions depending on the specific application: with directly attached valve or without valve, with sharp-edged lever made of high-tensile steel, or with rounded lever made of fiberglass reinforced polyoxymethylene.

Applications:
The locking unit is used in adapter testing to hold the various plugs and couplings in position during testing.

Special feature:
The cylinder and the locking lever are integrated in a housing. The dimensions of the housing are matched to the customer's mounting dimensions. Release is effected either pneumatically or by hand.
